It’s about that time of year again when we all have a big feast, family members visit from all over the country, and we eat, chat and have a good time. But first, we must give thanks, a very special thanks to God the Almighty one for the life he has given us. Then give back to the world, find a charity, donate, help serve food to the poor, find someone who needs a helping hand and lend one. On this Thanksgiving day before we dig in to the mashed potatoes, well seasoned and cooked turkey, yams, green bean casserole, baked mac and cheese, shrimp pasta, rice, brown stewed fish, baked chicken, oxtails, ham, pecan pie, brownies, cookies, champagne, crabs, cake and ice-cream, and all the other dishes you may have on your table. Take a moment to reflect on the accomplishments you’ve made throughout the year. What struggles did you go through to get there? did you do it by yourself? or did someone encourages or inspired you? Share with your family and friends. Therefore, when you pop that champagne bottle and you look at the three different plates packed with food that you’re going to eat say thank you. On this Thanksgiving day going around the table each family member could share briefly what he or she is thankful for throughout the year. I did say briefly because you will have that one family member who thinks he wants to speak on the behalf of all the members and take up the time while your food is getting cold. Be thankful this thanksgiving and share the love with someone in need.
